In addition to killing of Spc. Keith Maupin of the U.S. Army, terrorist thugs are holding Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassou of the United States Marines captive and are threatening to behead him. It is safe to assume that the Marines in Fallujah and other parts of Iraq will not take kindly to having one of their own killed while held captive, especially by beheading. The Japanese did this in WWII and paid a fearful price.
Between this threat and the killing of Spc. Maupin, it is safe to say that the terrorists have, in the words of Tex Cobb's character in Uncommon Valor, "Just bought the whole can of whup ass."
While the media loves to report on Abu Ghraib, our captives can only wish that they would be abused like the captives at the prison. Then they would only be forced to run around naked with panties on their heads while dogs barked at them rather than killed.
The enemy should be very careful about what they are doing. Otherwise it is likely that the soldiers and Marines they face will be unwilling to take many prisoners and even their allies on the Left will be unable to support them. Think long and hard about this one assholes.
