Osama Bin Laden and the American Left

How is it that Osama Bin Laden and the American Left are singing off the same sheet of music when it comes to President Bush? They say that the company you keep says a lot about you. It certainly does about the far Left in this country.

Don't believe me, just ask Bill Maher,

"I swear to God could have come out of the Democratic National Committee or a Kerry speech."

Or Jim Geraghty at KerrySpot,

Last night, I heard secondhand that a left-of-center friend said, during a discussion about the tape, “Well, now I actually agree with bin Laden, I mean, the stuff he said about Bush.”

Enough said.

Kerry the Opportunist

So what does John Kerry and his advisors think about the new OBL homage to Michael Moore,

Richard C. Holbrooke, a foreign policy adviser for Kerry, said on CNN that the tape was a reminder that Kerry would be more aggressive in pursuing bin Laden. "How can this grotesque mass murderer be out there on worldwide television more than three years after 9/11?" he demanded. "Why haven't we captured him, if the Bush administration was going to be so effective in the war on terror?"

Kerry himself, in a television interview, complained that Bush "outsourced" the hunt for bin Laden and said "we are paying the price for it today"

There you have it, his first instinct is to attack the Commander-in-Chief rather than rally around him when confronted by our enemies. Is it any wonder that 70% of our military is voting against this man? I bet it never occured to him that if the best OBL can do is send out a video tape rather than launch an attack, the President and our military must be doing something right!

Mason-Dixon Polls Look Good for W

The new slew of Mason-Dixon polls look very good for President Bush. If they are as good as their reputation, the President will be our Commander-in-Chief for another four years. In fact, they will give the President 296 Electoral College votes, a clear mandate, and exactly what I predicted at Polipundit.

Why Don't Civilians Get It?

From Hugh Hewitt, a very timely question from a soldier,

A soldier's question.

"Sir, eight out of ten soldiers support the president. Why is it so hard for the civilians to get it?"

Indeed.

Osama's in the House

As you have likely heard by now, Osama Bin Laden has released a tape warning of dire threats that await us all if we continue to be steadfast in our support of Israel and in the War on Terror. Clearly this is an attempt to cause us "go Spanish" and retreat from the War on Terror and it's frontline in Iraq. While his tape sounds like a Democrat 527 ad in it's attacks on President Bush and the administration, OBL has given the President a remarkable gift; a reminder to the voters of why we are fighting the war on terror and who will protect them. As polls show that American's overwhelmingly trust President Bush to wage the War on Terror, this cannot do anything but help the President on election day.

Lastly, several others have noted, and I agree, that if a tape is the worst that OBL and Al Qaeda can do to affect the election in this country, then that is clear evidence that the President is doing the job in the War on Terror.

CBS Planning Last Minute Surprise?

The rumor swirling about Republican circles and the Blogosphere is that CBS is planning one last "October Surprise" Sunday night on 60 Minutes. It appears that they will accuse the President of sending troops out without proper equipment and will also interview families of those that have been killed and are not happy with the President. The subject is rather ironic given the the KEdwards ticket voted against funding for the troops, some of which was earmarked for body armor and uparmored Humvees.

More important is the question of why they are attempting to influence the election. Why are they doing investigative pieces on the President and no balancing story on John Kerry? Well, we know why, they are biased. And that bias will cost them viewers. Currently, I am down to only watching the NFL on CBS. If I could kick that habit, I would ignore them altogether. The media should be an honest broker in an election. It is clear that CBS has chosen to participate on the Democrat's behalf. Enjoy the consequences and long live Fox News Channel!

Saddam "Might Be Gone."

In yet another example of the steadfast will of John Kerry to keep this nation safe, here is what the Senator had to say to Tom Brokaw last night,

It's absolutely impossible and irresponsible to suggest that if I were president he wouldn't necessarily be gone. He might be gone, because if he hadn't complied we might have had to go to war and we might have gone to war.

Well, it is good to know that he might have been gone, Senator. And he might not be gone. More importantly, he MIGHT have helped terrorists acquire dangerous weapons like the ones you claim the President left unguarded. Bottom line, John Kerry is not to be trusted to keep our nation safe. Remember that on Tuesday.

NYTimes Story is Rubbish, Part II

The Belmont Club drives a stake through the heart of this vampire here. Again, this is shoddy reporting designed to help John Kerry win the election. CBS had initially intended to run with the story the Sunday night before the election which would have meant that there would not be time for the Bush administration and campaign to respond. And they wonder why Fox News Channel is surging.

NYTimes Story is Rubbish

By now most of you have heard of this nonsense that President Bush allowed some 380 tons of explosives to be looted, (forget about the 400,000 tons that have been destroyed or are in the process of being destroyed). You probably have not heard that the story has been pretty thouroughly debunked. Seems that both the 3d Infantry Division and the 101st Airborne Division searched the site and did not discover any of the HDH or RDX material that is missing. It now appears that the Engineer Brigade of the 3d ID did a search of the area on April, 4 2003 and the following days and did not find anything. This leads to the conclusion that the material had been moved before the War rather than looted afterwards. Is John Kerry saying that the troops did a lousy job? Does he trust the UN inspectors more than the 3d ID and 101st Airborne? Additionally, he said that he would not have let this happen. Does this mean that as President he will make tactical field decisions like LBJ? We know what a disaster his meddling in field decisions was so I would hate to think that is the case. In any event, Kerry has already put out an ad using this bogus report as it's cornerstone. As I have said before, tell your friends about this nonsense, remind them that the stakes in this election are high and get them to the polls to vote for President Bush. And to my friends that think the most important issue is how the US is viewed by Europe and the rest of the world, ask yourself if that is more important than the life of your child because those are the stakes!

Terrorists for Kerry

I have long said that terrorists around the world support the election of John Kerry as they KNOW he will be weaker and less proactive in the War on Terror. Well, this story confirms that at least several terrorists in Iraq think that way, "Terrorists hope to defeat Bush through Iraq violence." A money quote,

"If the U.S. Army suffered numerous humiliating losses, [Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John] Kerry would emerge as the superman of the American people."

If you care about the safety of our troops in Iraq and your families here at home, get out and vote for George W. Bush. The life you save may be yours...... or your child's.
