Today in Baghdad, a murderer blew himself up near a US military convoy. The soldiers had stopped to hand out treats to a group of children. As a result, at least seven children were killed. Murdering bastards! Our troops are acting out of the goodness of their heart, and the bad guys killed those beautiful children. It reminds me of the story of American troops telling kids to stay away from them and their vehicles as it was not safe. And yet, there are those that think we are the bad guys and that the "insurgents" are freedom fighters. Tell me, what freedom you are fighting for if you kill innocent children? What freedoms do these animals hope to bestow upon Iraqi's?
To assign any respectable motives to these murderers you need to be ignorant, stupid or a bastard yourself. If you hate George W. Bush so much that you will not take a stand against those that kill kids, then you are not much better than they are.....you are their enablers!

Update: Here is the news story about this heinous attack. It appears the death toll among the children has risen to 18. Key quotes:
"The car bomber made a deliberate decision to attack one of our vehicles as the soldiers were engaged in a peaceful operation with Iraqi citizens," said Maj. Russ Goemaere, a Task Force Baghdad spokesman.
"The terrorist undoubtedly saw the children," Goemaere said, calling the attack "absolutely abhorrent."
Whose side are YOU on?
One last note, here is another bit from the story:
At least 1,759 members of the U.S. military have died since the Iraq war started in March 2003.
Why is it that every AP story out of Iraq has a running body count? I have my thoughts. What are yours?
Update II: Many are infuriated over this murder of innocent children. All should be. This is covered in depth at Mudville Gazette:
"Some day you may hear someone describing the virtues of the "resistance" or "freedom fighters" in Iraq , or claiming moral equivalence between these animals and coalition soldiers. You may even hear someone say we're on a "crusade" against Muslims. When you do, send them here."
Others providing commentary on this outrage:
The Indepundit
The Anchoress:
"...indeed, while the actions of terrorist in Iraq are somehow overlooked by most, it must be a scalding sort of pain for the mothers who voted in January, hoping to build democracy, risking their lives for that vote, to lose their children when they are simultaneous working for hope."
Dean's World:
"What I find almost as appalling as the actions described is the fact that so many are inclined to blame the forces of freedom and liberation for such travesties. Rather than rightly blaming the fascist element which commits these atrocities, some blame the West."
Caerdroia:
"This is not a time for neutrality between the fire brigade and the fire; this is a time to name our enemy, to call them out for what they are. The difference in this war is that the Japanese and German soldiers were by and large innocent; it was their political leadership and a particular few soldiers that were responsible for the inhuman parts of their behavior. In contrast, our enemy today are monsters."
