On a day where we have witnessed an unbelievable amount of carnage in New Orleans, Gulfport, Biloxi and the entire Gulf region, we have idiots that have been quick to try to lay the blame somewhere; usually at the feet of President Bush. The first assertion was that the President had crippled the emergency response by sending the 256th Brigade of the LA Army National Guard to Iraq, notwithstanding the fact that most of the Guard members in LA did not deploy and notwithstanding the fact that the Fox News reporter was just pointing out a convoy of Army Guard trucks and mentioned he had seen convoys all over the place, all day. Yet this nonsense was repeated by every talking head last night that does not work for Fox News. You can almost see Howard Dean's hand moving their lips. Then, some moron to whom I will not link, asserts that this is all the fault of the United States because we are causing "Global Warming." A newspaper in Germany is saying essentially the same thing. Thanks Germany. How about we send you a bill for rebuilding and defending your ungrateful asses? And of course, it is all George W. Bush's fault because he would not sign on to the Kyoto Treaty. Yes, the omnipotent Bushitler can control Mother Nature. In fact, Cindy Sheehan probably thinks he planned it to take the spotlight off of her.
Well people that focus on making political points while there is a crisis piss me off! People are suffering and dying and some on the Left seem to want to win a few votes rather than being part of the solution. We are becoming a nation in which too few people are willing to pass the fire bucket to the next person in line but we have no shortage of those that will bitch about how the bucket brigade is performing.
To those people I say, lead, follow or get the hell out of the way!
Update: As I said, there are plenty of National Guard troops to repond to the crisis. And the come from all over.
With the passion of "lead follow or get the hell out the way" I thought you had something to say, but you were just passionate about defending how the government could do no better than the way they handled this disaster. There's too many people like you that are too deep up the ass of their political party of choice.
Funny how everyone but Fox news sees this as a problem, as you brought up. How long would they work for Fox if they did? You think that's a good thing? You and Fox are some of many sad, blind ass kissers.

Dave gave a bogus email address. The better to insult me and hide I guess. Here is what I tried to send him:
Dave,
Despite your insulting me, thanks for coming by my
humble little place in the blogosphere. Just for the
record, CNN has done a better job covering the crisis
in general, in my opinion.
My main point was that we have plenty of people that
criticize, often with little or no factual basis, and
very few that have a constructive idea or action to
offer.
Since that post, I have seen so many vicious attacks
on the President by the left hand side of the
blogosphere that I have been engaged in fighting back
so as to not let them control the media shaping of
this event and to remind others of the sheer
incompetence of the Goveror and Mayor.
However, your comment caused me to revisit my post and
to remind myself that assigning blame is not important
and to become part of the solution. In other words,
lead, follow or get the hell out of the way.
Thanks,
The Opinionator
