Is It Just Me Or...... Part II

Is it just me or are a lot of the people complaining about sending additional troops to Iraq, the same ones that have been criticizing the President and Donald Rumsfeld for not having enough troops on the ground in that country? Just thought I would ask because it certainly seems that way. It appears to me that the warfighting strategy of the Democrats and the media is to criticize and undermine whatever the President chooses to do. Just like a former coach who is now a broadcaster, they are never wrong. A surefire strategy for their victory in 2008...and for a defeat of our nation, the affects of which will last for generations. But do not question their patriotism, no not that!

Is It Just Me Or.....

Is it just me or have the same people that would gladly have put the rope around Pinochet's neck now lamenting the execution of a monster? In the last few weeks, I have watched with dismay and disgust the reaction to Saddam Hussein's execution on the left. As many have noted, the media and liberal/leftist critics around the world have cried a river of tears over the fact that people taunted and insulted the "Butcher of Baghdad" during his last moments. They have conveniently forgotten his victims. Do they really think that the last moments of those he had killed were filled with dignity? Only if dignity is found in an industrial shredder or a mass grave!

So spare me the tears. Nice to see the Left has suddenly found a tender spot for murderous dictators. Perhaps we are becoming too civilized.
